General Information

Keeping children safe within organisations requires a broad understanding of the overarching principles of safeguarding. This three-day course is designed to equip the people responsible for organisational child safety with the knowledge, skills and resources to develop a comprehensive child safety programme.  Key topics will include: governance, scope of responsibility; understanding your organisational culture; duty of care; legal obligations and policy development. Each of the three modules will include a topical overview, foundational components and practical application. A more thorough description and outline of the course may be viewed here.

Who is this for?
This course is designed for policy makers and leaders who have responsibility for implementing and developing child safety programme in their schools or organisations.  These leaders are not necessarily the ‘hands on’ members of a child safety response team or even those who are delivering curriculum. Suggested attendees are HR leaders, managers, school administrators, Board members or anyone involved in strategy and implementation. The Programme Essentials Course is reserved for CSPN Member organizations.

PLEASE NOTE: We are offering Response Team Training (RTT) alongside this launch of our new Programme Essentials course. For more information on the RTT, please go to Taiwan RTT under the “Events” on our website.

Dates and Times
The Programme Essentials Course will be preceded by a two-hour general Orientation session that gives an overview of Child Safety in order to provide a shared foundation for learning.

Orientation will be taking place on Monday, February 17, from 4:00 to 6:00pm. The Program Essentials training will follow, running Tuesday, February 18 through Thursday, February 20 at 5:00pm.  In order to foster a shared learning experience, please plan to attend each of the sessions.

A certificate of Continuing Education Credits will be provided at the close of the course.
